Capture the Sun

I wrote this one for my wife.
In the early years of our marriage, it seemed like all we did was work. Multiple jobs, multiple shifts, private lessons, gigs, etc. I know this experience is far from unique to us, and that a lot of people can certainly relate to feeling like there is little time for much else beyond work.
We agreed that we needed to work hard while we were young and had the energy (and time, since we didn't have kids yet!), our goal being a brighter future four ourselves and our family.
As for this piece having been picked up for publication, I owe a huge debt of gratitude to the incomparable Dr. Gary Packwood, who I met when he was our guest conductor for the Delaware Junior All State Choir. I shared the piece with him, and he decided to include it as part of his choral series with Gentry Publications -- I was floored! Thanks again, Dr. Packwood :)
